My name is Helen Nila, a 21 year old Dominican curly girl with a story to tell!
If you’re looking into finally transitioning to a curly chica, you’re at the right place! My blog is about how self acceptance started by transitioning into my natural curly hair. It took me a long time to accept myself just as I am. I recently cut my hair in April 2018, it was my first cut into transitioning to my natural hair. I was afraid, because I was so used to straightening my hair and feeling like that is the only way to be accepted. So I decided to go natural for an entire year. So far the journey has been great and I am excited to share it with you all. I chose this blog topic because it has impacted the way I look at life now. I did not like my hair at all, which lead me to not love myself. I believe it’s exciting and amazing when a female or male can embrace their natural beauty. It take a lot of commitment and braveness to accept yourself for who you are.
I am a QUEEN crowned in my CURLS ♛

I am all about inspiring and influencing a community. I want someone to read my blog and prepare themselves to take action and begin their journey of acceptance. Maybe you are suffering with acceptance, so reading this will show you one way I overcame self acceptance, which then can lead you to start your path of the amazing person you really are!
